This page documents a personal postal-history project I undertook for the total solar eclipse of August 21, 2017. I prepared and collected covers from post offices along the path of totality, creating a record of the event through contemporary postal material. The project is somewhat outside the main focus of this website, which is Soviet and Russian space postal history, but I have kept the page because it represents a significant piece of my own collecting work. It is the only major postal-history project I undertook independently, apart from creating and developing this website itself.
